Justin Gossman’s Gold Blooded series confronts the paradox of beauty and violence. Using 24-karat gold leaf, spent bullet shells, small gems, and his own blood sealed in transparent epoxy, Gossman transforms materials of destruction into vessels of reflection. The blood—preserved from oxidation—embeds permanence, resilience, and autobiography into each piece.

The works reveal the contradictions of our time: love paired with bullets, harmony fractured by militarization, gold glittering with the shadow of greed.
